2022 Highlights
A Word From Coach Mike
I’m Coach Mike, and it is my privilege to serve as the head coach of our under-14 gridiron team this year. My journey with gridiron began in 2019 when my son expressed his interest in playing American football. My coaching background spans various sports, including cricket, basketball, and rugby league. Additionally, I have over 30 years of experience in retail management, where I focused on teaching and mentoring young individuals.
My son’s involvement in gridiron sparked my interest in the sport, leading me to contribute to his club, the South Eastern Predators. In 2022, Gridiron Australia initiated an under-13 team, which I enthusiastically agreed to coach. This year, as the team transitions to under-14, I continue in my role as the head coach. My son has taken on the role of offensive coach, and an ex-player, Tristan, is our defensive coach.
I have a deep appreciation for the game and a strong commitment to our club. Coaching these young athletes brings me great joy, and I am thoroughly enjoying the experience.
